Quiz and last day of class!

Week 14

Hello everyone😢 Today my blog will be a bit sad because this is going to be my last blog for this subject. As for today, we have answered our quiz successfully. Even though I already made some mistakes in answering the quiz, I still felt happy because it was over. For our Smart Builder group project, we have submitted it today in our class.

It felt like yesterday I wrote for the first in this blog. But today is already the last day for this subject. I do not know what i feel because I am happy that this semester is going to end soon but I am also sad to say goodbye to Madam Azida. I learned so many thing in this class. I hope that, everything that i have learned here, will become useful to me in the future. To Madam Azida, thank you so much for all of the knowledge that you have shared with me and my friends. I will never forget your hard work to teach all of us.

That is all that I want to say. Thank you for always listening and reading my blog 💞

Smart Builder Progress

Week 13

Hello everyone😀Today I would like to talk about my group project progress. As stated in my blog before, my friends and I were working on a group project to create an E-learning course-ware using Smart Builder.

For this week, Madam Azida has taught us on how to add some effect and also song into our Smart Builder. She also taught us on how to use hotspot tool in the Smart Builder. It was interesting to learn on how to make our E-learning course-ware to be more fun and not boring.

I can say that our project was about 80% finished. We just need to add some activities and test and it will be done. I am sure that the project will be great and fun. I cannot wait to see our project when it is done. That is all for this time. See you again😊

Smart Builder

Week 12

Hello everyone😊 Today's blog is about Smart Builder. SmartBuilder is the fastest elearning authoring tool for creating serious elearning including scenarios, gamification, branching, assessments and more.

This is some tools in the Smart Builder:

Madam Azida taught everyone in class on how to use the Smart Builder for our last assignment. It was fun to learn this new thing. It really make our task easier. We can create a learning activity and teach other people by using Smart Builder. For our last assignment, as in a group of four people, we need to create a learning tools to teach a topic that we want. So, we have chose to teach Adverb for intermediate learner from age of 18-23.

I hope that my group can do a amazing job for this assignment. We want to help other people in learning English. 💕

Gagne 9 Event

Week 11

Hello everyone😊 I am back!

So today i would like to share about Gagne 9 Events that me and my group members have presented in class.  This design was created by Robert Gagne. Robert Gagné proposed a series of events which follow a systematic instructional design process that share the behaviorist approach to learning, with a focus on the outcomes or behaviors of instruction or training.

This is the nine events in Gagne 9 Events.

  • Gain attention of the students: Ensure the learners are ready to learn and participate in activities by presenting a stimulus to gain their attention.
  • Inform students of the objectives: Inform students of the objectives or outcomes to help them understand what they are to learn during the course. Provide objectives before instruction begins.
  • Stimulate recall of prior learning: Help students make sense of new information by relating it to something they already know or something they have already experienced.
  • Present the content: Use strategies to present and cue lesson content to provide more effective, efficient instruction. Organize and chunk content in a meaningful way. Provide explanations after demonstrations.
  • Provide learning guidance: Advise students of strategies to aid them in learning content and of resources available.
  • Elicit performance (practice): Activate student processing to help them internalize new skills and knowledge and to confirm correct understanding of these concepts.
  • Provide feedback: Provide immediate feedback of students’ performance to assess and facilitate learning.
  • Assess performance: In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the instructional events, you must test to see if the expected learning outcomes have been achieved. Performance should be based on previously stated objectives.
  • Enhance retention and transfer to the job: To help learners develop expertise, they must internalize new knowledge.
That is all for now. I hope you can gain some useful information from this blog💗

Instructional Design

Week 10

Hello everyone😗 Today I will talk about Instructional Design. Instructional Design is "a systematic process that is employed to develop education and training programs in a consistent and reliable fashion". Instructional design (ID), also known as instructional systems design (ISD), is the practice of systematically designing, developing and delivering instructional products and experiences, both digital and physical, in a consistent and reliable fashion towards an efficient, effective, appealing, engaging and inspiring acquisition of knowledge. It is also a framework for developing modules or lessons that will be use for education.

Before creating an apps or mobile apps, we need to know which theory that we want to use and follow for the things that we want to teach or share.

The ADDIE model is the generic process traditionally used by instructional designers and training developers. The five phases—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—represent a dynamic, flexible guideline for building effective training and performance support tools. While perhaps the most common design model, there are a number of weaknesses to the ADDIE model which have led to a number of spin-offs or variations.

That is all for this week lesson💕

Powtoon Group Assignment

Week 8

Hello everyone😊

For today's blog, I would to share about our group assignment. My group consist of three people which are myself, Fazniena, and also Izzatie. For this assignment, we need to create a video using Powtoon. The video must be about a campaign that we want to share to other people.

My group have chose the pepper spray campaign with the hashtag of One Woman One Pepper Spray. In the video that we will produce later, we want to spread the important of having a pepper spray for the women out there. It is important because at least, women can protect themselves when they encounter any attack from dangerous people.

So, stay tuned for our great video next week😍

My Goals (Powtoon)

Week 7

Hai everyone😊

So, this is a video that I made using the Powtoon. This video is about some of my life goals. I hope all of you will enjoy the video even though it is a simple video❤️

Powtoon

Week 6

Hello everyone👧

So, for this week, I have learned about how to make video using Powtoon. Powtoon is Web-based animation software that allows users to create animated presentations by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user-created voice-overs.

It was so exciting and I now knew how to create an entertaining video by using Powtoon. I can easily use the tools in the Powtoon to creat an amazing video without any difficulties. I am able to choose which type of video that I want to create and it will turn out very well😊

After this, I can make any video easily by using the Powtoon. You guys can try to make video or any presentations using Powtoon. I believe all of you will enjoy it too❤️

Bandlab and Audacity

Week 5

Hai everyone😉

Today, I would like to talk about the lesson that I have learned for week 5. It was related to the assesment that me and my partner need to do which is the podcast. So, our lecturer, Madam Azidatun taught us about the website or apps that we can use to edit our podcast which are Bandlab and Audacity.

Bandlab is the easy-to-use, all-in-one, social music creation platform. By using the app, you can edit your recorded audio. You can eliminate disturbing noise in the background of your audio.
https://www.bandlab.com/

Other than Bandlab, you can use Audacity to edit your audio. It is free, open source, cross-platform audio software. Audacity is an easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems.
https://www.audacityteam.org/

It was fun to learn how to edit the audio using those apps. We can eliminate the sound that we do not want, we can also add another sound, and we can cut the audio as we want.

That is all for now.😊

Podcast Review

Week 4

Hello everyone😊

Today I would like to share about a new thing that I learned in my class. The topic is about podcast. Podcast is an audio or video file that broadcast via the Internet, and can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device. The term 'podcast' comes from iPod (Apple portable MP3 Player). So, Madam Azidatun asked the whole class to make a review about a podcast that we listen to.

For that task, I have chose a podcast from On Purpose with Jay Shetty and the podcast is about "3 Lesson I Learned From My Ex". In this podcast, Jay Shetty was alone and just shared his experienced and what he had learned from his previous relationship. I really enjoyed his podcast because the way he talked and how he pronounced each of the words even though he has slang but I can easily understand his sentences.

So, from his podcast, the first thing that he said about what he had learned from his ex is 3D principles which are decision, debating, and disagreement. He said that we should not discuss our problem with our partner on social media or just settle the problem over texting. It is a bad move because we can be misunderstood and our partner could have wrong interpretation.

Secondly, he said we have to know how to fight or deal with the problem. The first thing that he said we have to do is, send the text that we want to send to our partner or anyone to ourself first. Read the text throughly. Try to think how is the feeling if you recieve the text from someone you love. Would you be happy, angry or sad? We must read, reflect, and rehears first before sending the text to other people.

Lastly, do not broadcast your relationship early on. It makes things though. Because we try to make others accept us. We should makes time and space for the relationship to grow. People will know and see how happy both of you without you need to show it. It will appeared on your face how happy your relationship are.

That is all about the podcast that I listened to. Hope you enjoyed it too💗

Lesson 3

Week 3

Hai everyone😉

Today I will talk about the lesson for week 3 for this subject. Do you know what is search engine?
So in my class, Madam Azidatun taught us about about search engine. It is a web tool that allows users to enter keywords and find information on websites contained in its database. This is some example of search engine:

Now I will share the four parts of search engine:

The first one is Database. It is like a storage where all indexed web pages are stored. Next is Web-crawlers. A web-crawlers ia an automated program or bot "crawls" all over the Web Page collecting information. Besides that, User Interface is also a part of search engine. It is a user-friendly app or site or a page where users may input query and search results are presented. Laztly, the Information Retrieval System. This part of search engine is a system used to match the user's query to indexed webpage found in database. The results presented in rank according to the mostrelevance answer.

Other than that, I also learned about Specialized Search Engine and Meta Search Engine.Specialized Search Engine have many benefit and have many category for example for students like Google Scholar and Academia.edu. And you also can find people thorugh pipl.com. Meanwhile, if you use Meta Search Engine, it gives results based on a combination of results from other search engine databases. It specializes in concatenating databases from a variety of search engines and linking search results to relevant sources. For example, Metacrawler and Dogpile.

After that, I also learned about Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) and ESL. CMC is any term of communication or interaction between two or more people with seperate computer through network connection. There are two types of CMC which are Asychronous CMC and Synchronous CMC. Asynchronous CMC messages are not exchanged and replied are not immediately. While Sychronous CMC is on the other hand, the messages can be exchanged and replied to immediately. It also allows the direct communication.

Lastly, the Collaborative Learning. This type of learning allows a group work to be done together without being in the same location or using the same computer. It is a very good way for the students exspecially. It can be used by students to do their group work together and exchange their idea easily.

That is all for now. See you again😊

Lesson 2

Week 2

Hello everyone. Today I will share about what have I learned in week 2.

C - Computer
A - Assisted
L - Language
L - Learning

CALL is the side of e-learning where computer technology is used in the context of lanuguage learning (Yuan, 2017 : 416). There are four types of CALL Programs which are CALL-specific software (e.g. CD-ROMs, online), Web-based learning materials (e.g. in websites, blogs, wikis), Generic Software (e.g. word-processor, presentation software, spreadsheet), and lastly the Computer- mediated communication (CMC) programs (e.g. synchronous: online chat ; asychronous: email and discussion forum).

Other than that, I also learned about the software design and pedagogy. The major CALL development projects are usually managed by a team of people:

  • A subject specialist (also known as a content provider) - usually a language teacher
  • A programmer who is familiar with the chosen programming language or authoring tool
  • A graphic designer to produce pictures and icons
  • A professional photographer or at least a very good amateur photographer
  • A sound engineer
Besides that, Madam Azidatun also explained about the progression of  CALL. There are three types of progression of CALL, which are:

  1. Behaviouristic CALL  - Programmed instruction involves repetitive drill and practice
  2. Communicative CALL - Focused on the usage of language rather than perfect grammar
  3. Intergrated CALL - The intergration of real-world materials into CALL
Lastly, my classmates and I was taught by Madam Azidatun on how to use Canva to create beautiful design for templates of anything that we want to do. Before this I never know the existence of Canva and just edit my photo by using any apps on my phone but now I can use Canva to make my photo looks more beautiful before I post it on any of my social media.😁😁😁

Thats all for now, see yaaa.
